Working on the Canyon View Cabin was an incredible experience for our team. This project allowed us to lean into unique, organic architectural elements to create a space that feels both grounded in nature and effortlessly sophisticated.

Our main objective? Maximize every square inch of the budget to design a spacious home that our clients could truly grow into for years to come.

Building the Home

exterior

Because of the home’s stunning natural surroundings—and the clients' personal style—the exterior was designed with a striking mountain modern aesthetic. For the interior, however, the goal was a soft modern organic look.

We achieved this beautiful interior balance by blending a mixture of open and closed floor plans. The clients wanted dedicated, purposeful spaces, but they also needed the home to flow seamlessly from room to room. To soften the lines of the home, we incorporated elegant archways and curved transitions throughout.

Sliding Door

We decided on a stacking slider door in the livingroom to create an indoor, outdoor experience for the home owners.

Stone and Link for stone

We always love using the stone from Creative Mines. This is their Orchard Limestone in the color Timberwolf.

exterior

For the exterior we chose Clean Cedar wood to really give the home a clean organic look.

The color is Pinnacles from Rustic Lumber

arches

The clients wanted organic shapes so we tried to include lots of arch shapes as seen here in the entrance to the kitchen. As well as the curve in the island.

Finished Project

Final Kitchen

In the kitchen use a custom slider door as a window above the kitchen sink creating a spot top open things up and pass it though to a bar area.

Final Kitchen included lots of natural light and colors. The countertops were Taj Mahal and the cabinets were a walnut veneer.

Flooring is engineered hardwood: Radiance by Aayers

Example of a living room design in Other

To flood the home with natural light and frame the canyon views, roughly 95% of the main floor features floor-length windows. We even brought this design choice into the laundry room to maintain perfect visual continuity throughout the house..

laundry room

Speaking of the laundry room, we designed a floating countertop that is as functional as it is stylish. It provides ample folding space on top, leaves room for storage baskets underneath, and as a major bonus, it was incredibly cost-effective to build.

Primary Bathroom

half bath

This was the separate half bath. We decided to carry the serene mountain modern into this half bath by creating a floating countertop sink. The color and texture of this piece is so fun and beautiful.

stairs

One of the home's biggest triumphs came from a creative challenge. We needed to design a staircase that wouldn't interfere with a nearby doorway. Our solution? A gorgeous, custom curved staircase. It solved the space issue beautifully and instantly became a show-stopping feature right when you walk through the front door.

To complement the staircase, we selected entryway lighting with a distinct organic texture. The fixtures mimic the appearance of natural stones on the wall, instantly introducing that rugged mountain vibe the moment guests step inside.
